From my diagnosis til the completion of my treatment for breast cancer, Dr. Leff and his team have been so supportive and very professional. Dr. Leff was very helpful throughout, explaining results, treatment and procedure very carefully so that I was happy with my options. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Leff and his team. They are a credit to the NHS, their care and support have helped me so much in this journey.

Mr Leff is an amazing man. When I was first seen by him, I knew that I had breast cancer and I was terrified. Within a short time of meeting him, I had no doubt that I was in good hands. I felt that he had a genuine desire to make his patients feel good about themselves and to perform the very best surgery to ensure that the cancer was accurately located and that despite surgery, he would endeavour to make you look as good as possible. Although there were a few hiccups along the way, including operation dates altering when a second tumour was found and the possibility of a third investigated, he was always able to reassure me that investigating new possible findings was essential, so that another operation would not be required. Finally I’d like to say that the team I met while in the care of Charing Cross Hospital were exceptional, treating me with warmth, humour and extreme kindness. I cannot fault the care that I received there.

Mr Leff is a really exceptional surgeon. He is a great listener and was always calm, positive and clear when explaining what I could expect when I had a lumpectomy and then lymph node clearance. Mr Leff's kindness and great communication skills made me feel very secure and positive going into each of these operations. The tumour was very large relative to the size of my breast and it seemed hardly possible that my breast would look even vaguely normal after the cancer was excised. But Mr Leff's surgical skills and the care that he took, achieved something really exceptional. My breast looks the same as it did before, with only a faint scar around the nipple. My son was 9 at the time of my diagnosis and I believe that seeing his Mum look the same as she did before the operation, really helped him to take it all in his stride and remain a happy, confident little boy. I would say that Mr Leff's skills and care and that of team actually had a positive impact on our whole family, not just me. I have made a great recovery and feel very healthy and strong. Every day when I look in the mirror, I feel grateful to Mr Leff and his team for doing such an exceptional job. I count myself incredibly lucky to have been under Mr Leff's care and cannot recommend him highly enough.

I discovered a lump in my left breast at the end of May 23. i telephoned and spoke to my GP on the 1st of June who wanted me to come in straight away i told her i will come the following day as i was at work. i went and saw her on the 02/06/23 she made an appointment during my consultation for the 12/06/23 at Pread street Paddington for me to see the breast surgeon. i had 2 mammograms an ultra-scan and biopsy taken on that day all in the morning. The results came back i was told i had breast cancer on the 28/06/23. That day doctor Leff came into my consultation, he drew on my breast and explained to me and the team how they were going to get the lump out. i had surgery on the 24/07/23. i am very grateful to doctor Leff and his team because throughout this time i have been treated with respect and everything has been explained to me clearly so i have managed to make informed choices. The care i had i can not fault in anyway, it was seamless effective efficient care being told what was happening to me at every point. I do not know anything about Doctor Leff but i know that he is a good caring doctor and loves what he does. i have met with him about 3 times now and he really puts me at ease and i know that because i have worked with a lot of doctors not all of them put their patients at ease, putting patients at ease is half the job done and he does this without even trying. Overall a good intelligent wise humble doctor who knows what he is doing. i am so grateful that we have doctors like doctor Leff in the nhs. May he live forever.
